Internet Safety
It has come to our attention that there may be some apps / websites being accessed at home that contain age inappropriate material and may frighten children.  Please be vigilant around the use of I.T. and social media at home.

Mission Mass
Monday we had a beautiful Mass in the school with two members from the mission team, Fr. Kieran Brady and Helena Connolly and they were accompanied by Fr. Pat.  All this week a Mission is taking place in Rathmore parish churches.  Fr. Kieran gave a special invitation to all families to come to the evening mission on Thursday night at 7.30pm in Rathmore.

Book Fair

Our Book Fair is ongoing and tomorrow Wednesday from 9 to 10am is your last opportunity to attend.  However, parents should not feel under pressure to spend a lot of money at the Book Fair.  The commission from the fair allows us to buy books for the classroom and library so every book you buy helps us to get new books for the school.  Thank you for your support.

Public Speaking Competition
We have a team from Holy Family N.S. busy preparing for the Public Speaking Competition run by IRD Duhallow on Tuesday 6th November in the James O’Keeffe Institute in Newmarket. The team are Katie Rea, Amy Donnelly, Olivia Cronin Liam O’Keeffe, Lauren Horan and Ciara Hughes.  We wish them well.

Team Hope
This year we are inviting pupils to take part in the 2018 Christmas Shoebox Appeal.  We attach a leaflet for your information.  You will have an opportunity to fill a shoe box over the Halloween break.  Please bring the filled shoe boxes to the school and we will organise to have them delivered to the drop off point.  The closing date for receipt is Friday November 9th.  Team Hope deliver the shoeboxes to children in Eastern Europe and Africa.
