Chess Online 2025

 



Ficheall will be organising a series of online tournaments on Wednesdays in November. 

There will be three days of practice tournaments, culminating in Lá Fichille - a one day celebration of chess in Irish primary schools. 

 

Tournaments will take place on the following dates:

1.    5th November at 6.05pm

2.    12th November at 6.05pm

3.    19th November 1.30pm (in school) and 6.05pm

4.    26th November - Lá Fichille - 1.30pm (in school) and 6.05pm

 

All tournaments will take place using the free Lichess.org platform.


Two Teams have been created, 5th&6th Team called Kings of Rathmore and 2nd to 4th class team called Rathmore Pawns: 


Please Follow The Below Steps To Register Your Child/Children for the Online Chess Team


5th and 6th pupils only:


1: Register an account on Lichess: https://lichess.org/signup


2: Click on this link to join 5th and 6th Chess Team (You must be signed into your Lichess online account to join)

 3: Click JOIN TEAM & wait for approval (may take a day or two)
        
4: Complete attached form to let me know your child's online chess name and I will approve your child to join their class team once form is completed: Click Here



2nd to 4th Class Pupils Only:

2:  Click on this link to join 2nd to 4th Chess Team (You must be signed into your Lichess online account to join)
