Welcome to our school chess page 2025/2026.
We are really looking forward to another exciting year ahead of having fun playing chess.
Pupils in HFNS will play chess online and in, in-school tournaments. We will also participate in Ficheall local tournaments and Munster Championships.
Chess promotes numerous cognitive and social benefits, including improved memory, concentration, and problem-solving skills, alongside fostering mental resilience, impulse control, and good sportsmanship.
