1st Class have been very busy this half-term!

Most recently, we had a visit from the victorious basketball teams of Scoil Phobail Sliabh Luchra. It was lovely to congratulate some of our past pupils on their All-Ireland success!

We celebrated Chinese New Year and wrote fact-files about China 🇨🇳

St Brigid’s Day!

As part of our effort to achieve our next green flag for Global Citizenship: Marine Environments, 1st class are currently learning about different marine plants and animals that are found in Ireland. So far, we have learned lots about the Basking shark and Ms Riordan brought in some Bladder Wrack for us to explore.

We learned lots about Australia for Australia Day and thank you to Paddy Jack for bringing in toys and books about Australia! 🇦🇺

We discussed ways of staying safe online for Safer Internet Day.

We really enjoyed the topic of static electricity in science and we timed how long the charged balloons stuck to the wall or our face and hair!

Congratulations and well done to all the boys and girls in sixth class.

We are delighted to receive these books from a parent in our school. They are a great addition to our resource library.
