Dear Parents,

We look forward to welcoming your child/children to Kids Club from September 2023.

Please find attached the handout from the recent Information Evening and Book In Form needed to enrol your child in the Kids Club Breakfast and Afterschool Club.

Please download and complete in full the attached Book In form and return to the letter box in Emmas preschool in Rathmore village or post to Emma Cooper, Rathbeg, Rathmore. Please return by 31st July 2023.

To apply for the NCS subsidy please log onto ncs.gov.ieand select Universal Subsidy OR Income Assessed subsidy to receive your CHICK code. Please note all children are entitled to a subsidy, which varies from €1.40 - €5.10 per hour depending on income/family circumstances. This code will be required to avail a reduced rate from September.

To clarify on some points which were brought up at the Information evening:

1. Parents who Job Share/work off a roster will be catered for.

2. Last minute bookings will be accepted where possible, as long as ratios are adhered to.

3. Snacks are preferable but we are looking into providing the facilities to store and reheat food from home for those on long days. We will have this in place from September.

4. Bills will be sent via email fortnightly, and you will have the option to pay online or with cash.

5. If you need an older sibling to collect a younger sibling at 2.50pm for home or bus we will need written consent from parents. Or if you require Kids Club staff to drop a child to the bus at 2.50pm, we will need written consent.

 Information Evening

Holy Family Kids Club

Tuesday June 20^th

Intended opening hours 8am to 9am and 1:50pm to 5pm

Siobhan and Emma are running the kids club independently of the school and all enquiries should be addressed to them. We will have our own insurance and policies.

The service will commence on Monday September 4^th at 8am. However, we will not be in a position to offer this service to Junior infants until their full school days have commenced.

We will follow the HFNS school calendar, opening when they do. We will open early to facilitate in service days when the school closes at 1:30. We will not open on days when the school closes at 12. We will not open if the school closes for weather/ building issues or any other reason when the school may be required to remain closed.

Homework: We will supervise and help with all written homework, however parents will be required to complete reading, check and sign homework. If you do not want your childs homework to be done in kids club, please advise of same.

Children are welcome to bring any snacks they require during their time in kids club. Holy family National school is a nut free zone so we will be maintaining this policy.

We will be rostering staff based on bookings, therefore prebooking is preferable. We require fortnightly bookings to ensure staff ratios are maintained. However last-minute changes and bookings will always be facilitated once we can maintain ratios.

Drop off and collections will take place from the GP hall external doors, located on the left rear of the building.

Children with additional medical needs or those who avail of an SNA during school hours will be facilitated where possible. If you have any queries please speak to us and we will be happy to help if possible.

We will be participating in the NCS (National Childcare Scheme) where every child will be entitled to the universal €1.40 reduction per hour. This would reduce the hourly fee to €4.60. Also there is an option to chose an ‘Income assessed’ subsidy where you may get a larger hourly reduction.
