We are thrilled to be awarded our fourth Amber Flag for successfully promoting positive mental health and wellbeing. On Monday, John Dempsey from Pieta House came to our school to accept a cheque of €538.05 which the pupils donated during Wellbeing Week. Today we raised our new flag with our local hero Shane Ryan who also presented each of the committee with a ‘Mental Health Hero Certificate’. Huge congratulations to our Amber Flag Committee/Student Council and indeed all the pupils of HFNS and their families who always support our initiatives.
Some of our sixth class pupils represented us so well in the Garda 7-A-Side football blitz today in Fitzgerald Stadium, winning three out of five games. They played great football and showed excellent team work.
