The Amber Flag Committee is excited to launch details of Wellbeing Week which commences next week on May 6th to May 9th. On Tuesday we look forward to partaking in yoga classes - all children are asked to bring a yoga mat and a blanket to school for this activity. On Wednesday we will watch a movie together - children are allowed to bring a treat to school to enjoy during the movie which we will watch in the G.P. room. Lots of fun ahead next week 🌞🎬🧘🍦Donations will be collected for Pieta House if families wish to contribute.
Today we marked a truly historic occasion in our school, as we celebrated the incredible success of our All Ireland winning U11 quiz team, joined by their family members, Chairperson of the Board of Management, CEO and staff of Rathmore & District Credit Union. Éabha, Conor, Diarmuid, Kayleigh and their mentor Ms. Anne Marie Murphy were praised for their hard work and dedication and indeed for the glory they have brought to HFNS. The pupils and staff are bursting with pride at their outstanding achievement. We all enjoyed this special event which was a fitting tribute to Ms. Murphy and her quiz team. It was full of celebration, inspiration and well deserved recognition.
Congratulations to Sixth Class pupils Evan and Clodagh who completed in tough primary games trials. Clodagh was selected to play with Kerry as they take on Cork at halftime of the Senior Munster Championship Semi Final game in SuperValu Uí Chaoimh on Saturday April 19th. ⚽️ 🎉 Best of luck Clodagh and enjoy the experience.
