Dear Parents

Last year the children really enjoyed engaging with the Read and Raise initiative in Holy Family N.S.

It was wonderful to see the daily active engagement with reading and the logging of minutes added to the excitement and challenge.

The initiative is returning for 2024 and we hope it stimulates an interest in reading once again.

There is no obligation to collect money but any donations would be much appreciated as this will run instead of our annual Easter Quiz fundraiser.

The funds raised will help pay for new microphones and speakers installed in the GP room as the old system had to be replaced.

The Read and Raise initiative is commencing on Monday March 4th.

Attached are information letter and how to register details.

Thanking you

Paul Horan

   Holy Family Primary School Fundraiser

Welcome to all to our Read and Raise Fundraiser!

We are delighted to announce that we are holding a reading fundraiser in our school. It will be run on the readandraise.ie platform which is custom built to develop literacy levels in children while raising funds for the school.

The fundraiser will start on 04 March 2024. Children can read whatever material they like we just want to see them reading and enjoying it as much as they can. Before the fundraiser starts, we will send instructions on how to register on readandraise.ie.

Once registered your child will have their own profile page and their own donation link which is accessed through their parents profile page. On their profile page there are a number of custom-built links for reaching out to family and friends anywhere in the world for sponsorship. You will also be able to log reading sessions and track donations they have received. A reading session can be any length of time and donations are all taken online.

Life with a young family is busy and time is precious, this is why we choose the Read and Raise platform for our fundraiser. All we ask of you is to register your children and use the "send a text" option on your child's profile to send out the pre-populated text message to family and friends which tells them that your child is taking part in a fundraiser at school, asks them for a little support and includes their personal donation link, this can be sent to multiple recipients at one time, its that easy.

We hope everyone will sign up and take part, we are really looking forward to it!

Regards,

Paul Horan
