Food Dudes is running this week October 5th-9th and the children are enjoying a range of freshly delivered fruit and vegetables. The Food Dudes Healthy Eating Programme is a great way for us to encourage and promote our healthy eating policy in the school.

We are delighted to introduce our new Amber Flag/Student Council Committee. Our committee is made up of enthusiastic pupils who will help create a happy and welcoming school environment. We are excited for the year ahead and are starting with a Bring n’ Buy Cake Sale on Thursday October 22nd. We are also lucky to have a signed Rathmore and Kerry jersey which will be raffled on Friday October 23rd. All funds raised will cover Wellbeing promotion activities during the year. Thanks to our wonderful school community for always supporting our endeavours.

Huge thanks to the Parents Committee for the fabulous new library books! Funds raised in the Cake Sale last summer were allocated to each class to purchase new library books. Second Class were thrilled to receive these today.

Second Class are pleased to announce that HFNS are participating in Ireland’s Deposit Return Scheme. This initiative is a fantastic way for our school community to promote environmental sustainability while raising vital funds for our school. Our bin accepts all Re-turn bottles and cans only. Our bin is conveniently located at the side of the school outside second class window. Thanks for your support as always.

4th class really enjoyed using Lego Bricks over the last number of weeks. Great team work and imagination was on show with their wonderful creations. Well done all of you 😄
