My name is Caoilainn Doyle and I am currently recruiting participants for my PhD research which will examine (1) if children with and without developmental dyslexia differ on executive function, reading ability, self regulation and brain activity, and (2) if an executive function brain training intervention can improve reading ability, self regulation, executive function and brain activity in children with dyslexia. I've attached a summary for the proposed research (one for children with dyslexia and one for children without dyslexia). We are looking for children aged 10-12 years with and without dyslexia to take part in our research.
I am writing to you to request the support of your school in recruiting participants for my research study, this would involve:
- circulating the attached information leaflets about my research study to all parents of children at your School with children aged 10-12 years.
- if it is more convenient, I can post you recruitment leaflets which can be sent home with children.
Parents who are interested in participating or want to learn more about the research study can then contact me independently (email: caoilainn.doyle96@mail.dcu.ie , phone: 017006868). My contact details can also be found on the attached leaflet.
If you have any questions about my research or would like more information please don't hesitate to contact me. If you would like to call me to discuss my research further please do.
Warm Regards,
