Parents& Guardians,
We are
all looking forward to Confirmation 2022 and preparation is now underway.
Given
the ever changing situation regarding Covid-19 it is challenging to plan with
absolute certainty for the sacrament this year.
At this
point we hope to celebrate the sacrament on Tuesday February 22nd, and Wednesday
23rd February 2022.
While
society in general can, it would
seem, look forward to a greater easing
of restrictions; our schools must still
operate within the narrower confines
of ‘pods’ and ‘bubbles’.
In
planning for the Confirmation Ceremony we will therefore operate according to school guidelines, and make
every effort to reduce the
possibility of any negative impact on
our schools
To help
reduce the level of interaction, we propose to
have three separate ceremonies .
Tuesday
February 22nd, Rathmore
Church 11a.m: Holy
Family National School.
Tuesday February 22nd, Gneeveguilla Church
1p.m Gneeveguilla
National School
Wednesday February 23rd, Knocknagree Church 11a.m Knocknagree &
Hollymount Ns
As with
the multiple ceremonies, we will also ask you cooperation in limiting
the numbers attending again this year. The following suggestion will
ensure that all families will operate under the same system.
1.
This ceremony will limited to
students and their immediate families
(ie Parents /Guardians and siblings)
2.
Each family are allowed to have
five guests (eg that could be grandparents and a sponsor, but that decision is up to each family.
3.
Candidate to wear the school
uniform on the day .
We look
forward to celebrating the sacrament with you and your families, thank you for
understanding in this matter.
