Week 2 of the Food Dudes Programme: The children are enjoying participating in the healthy eating programme, an initiative designed to encourage children to eat more fruit and vegetables. Here are Second Class eating their oranges π and cucumber π₯.
Day one was a great success. Everyone enjoyed their apples and tomatoes. π π
Exciting news to share! Food Dudes is commencing next Wednesday. πJunior Infants, Senior Infants and First Classes will receive a portion of fruit and vegetables for 16 days. Second to Sixth Classes will receive a portion of fruit and vegetables for 8 days. Loads of fantastic prizes available for all the children.
A huge congratulations to our first Amber Flag Committee for helping to coordinate all the wonderful activities the whole school community enjoyed this year. Thanks to the parents for donating so generously. Today we presented a cheque for €550.00 to Con O’ Connor from Pieta House in Tralee.
Congratulations and well done to our hurling team who took part in a hurling blitz in Na Gael Gaa Tralee on Wednesday, May 11th.
The standard was excellent and the boys did us proud competing well in all three games. The group consisted of Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn, Scoil Mhuire de Lourdes, Lxnaw, Killury NS and HFNS Rathmore.
The skills competition will take place next week and the boys are preparing for this currently.
